While Jessie’s
last name, Roslin, was chosen somewhat at random, with some help from the young lady who inspired her character, I came across
a wonderful coincidence. Just before this book went to its first printing, I found
an article about the ‘Roslin Orphanage’ in West Timor, Indonesia. Founded by an airline pilot and his wife, they
were inspired to build a home for orphans in the community there. Their website is: www.roslinorphanage.org Thus, I have determined that a portion of all proceeds from the sale of this book will go directly to the orphanage,
to help feed the children in need there, and support those who work so hard to see them through. Now, this cause is part of their legacy, and I am so grateful
